Statement: For me art is painting Although I tried drawing and graphic, painting remains the most intimate expression for me for many years Art critics attribute my art to neo-expressionism As a student I thought of my style as being intuitive I found my style intuitively while being a student Up until now I have developed my art and my style, and now Up to now I am improving it - I am looking for new and relevant variations but the essence of my art remains the same The severe and sometimes contrasting colors in my paintings come largely from the reflection of today's world I use awkward and non-traditional color harmony - colors that dare to speak boldly and clearly I am interested in the challenges facing each picture I let myself create spontaneously Artworks for me are honest actions that requires the preparation and reflection before the process begins Each painting has a main theme, although paintings they are naturally filled with additional meanings naturally The themes of my paintings also reflect the environment Some of them are my personal and everyday experiences; others are a response to today's world and its actual topics issues - politics, history, sexuality and art I always enjoy the privilege of the artist to ask awkward questions to the viewer – questions about the history of nation, state and individual, victory and price of loss in policy, economy and personal life I hope that my viewers interpret my works through their own point of view using their own experience I constantly participate in various art projects in Lithuania and abroad I believe that artworks have to cross the boundaries of galleries and exhibition halls and join the urban environment bringing art to the people
